Monkey's Banana Nut Bread

My oldest has asked for a banana nut bread for his birthday this year. So here's the recipe while I have it out! I hope your monkeys like it as much as mine do!

Ingredients

3 to 4 ripe bananas (Smashed up, if like my house they never go ripe you can put them in the fridge overnight to speed it up)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup butter (melted)
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
2. In a mixer add bananas and butter and set it to low.
3. Add in sugar and vanilla.
4. Add salt and baking soda and mix until smooth on low.
5. While mixer is still running on low slowly add flour until fully mixed in.
6. Fold in nuts and pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 1 hour or until golden browned.

Cool completely on a cooling rack before slicing and serving!

Love,
Mom

P.S.
My little monkeys like to spread the slices with peanut butter!
