After my resent visit to 3 different stores looking for products to help create my upcoming Valentine's Day/Night looks I was disgusted by the things I found. Now prepare for a rant!
At every store the dream bouncy blushes, I have yet to even try because they have always been touched and damaged, were all so badly damaged that I wondered if the stores even care that they were. It wasn't like the seals were just broken, these things had criminal evidence perfectly preserves in it! I'm talking about deep pressed in perfect finger prints! NASTY! The lip sticks weren't just opened and swatched, it looked as if the person(s) who damaged them blatantly crushed them into the caps and drew on the walls with them. Eye shadows were busted and ruined, powders were busted and smeared all over the place. Eye and lip pencils were used to draw pictures and names on the displays, nail colors were opened and bottles broken. Why do people do this?
I've had people say that it's kids doing it, then where are their parents? Why are they being allowed to display such criminal behaviors? How is it that this much damage can be done and no one in the store notices? Do these stores just not care? Does this not cost them?
When you damage stuff like this in stores it just makes the prices even higher! If you need to know what the color will look like on you buy it and try it. Almost every major chain drug store has a return program where if you are not happy you can return it for another or get your money back on it. If you don't have the money to buy it then you shouldn't even be thinking about it anyways! It's just nasty and sad that people have so little self respect that they could openly go into a store with the intent to damage items there and risk criminal charges for being stupid.
And why haven't the stores and makeup companies made more of an effort with displays and packaging to try to protect their merchandise from these fools? What a world, what a world, what a world...
